About Cassandra:
Cassandra is a passionate scuba diver and avid underwater photographer. Her love for the ocean and raising awareness against shark finning is her highest priority. Since the inaugural of the Celebrate the Sea Festival in 2002, Cassandra have been the Project Manager for the annual festival, now in its 13th year – she was instrumental in bringing the festival to Indonesia in 2011 and 2013 to Brunei. She serves as an ambassador for the Ocean Geographic Society and is a member of the Ocean Artist Society.
She is also the lead in staging the 1000 Kids One Message – “I am the future, I will not eat shark fins “ pledge event in Singapore 2013 and subsequently in Hong Kong.
Cassandra is well known and well liked in the diving industry in South East Asia. For seven years, she was the Project Manager and Brand Manager for ADEX – Asia Dive Expo in Singapore, the largest dive show in the region.
She travels regularly leading small groups on dive expeditions around the region. When she is not diving, she organizes scuba diving related events as well as marine related conservation based activities in Asia. Her images and articles have been published Ocean Geographic, Scuba Diver and several international dive and travel publications.
In 2012, she founded an Ocean Conservation Project; Garden of the Gods in Bali. This project was a fusion of art and environmental science serving both nature and the local community. She is currently working on Phase 2 of this on going project.
