About Bill Kendig
Bill Kendig’s passion for diving began at the age of 13 during the summer of 1975, which was famously associated with the movie “Jaws.” During high school and college, he honed his skills and knowledge by working at a local dive shop. His dedication to diving led him to achieve an Instructor rating through NASDS (National Association of Scuba Diving Schools).
As he progressed in his diving career, Bill Kendig’s expertise grew, and he eventually became a NAUI Course Director and a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer.
Bill was also involved in equipment testing for Scuba Diving Magazine and held the prestigious position of SCUBALAB Director during the early 2000s. This role allowed him to contribute to the advancement of diving equipment and safety standards.
Bill’s passion for diving also found its way into the world of entertainment, as he worked on motion pictures as both an instructor and safety diver. His expertise helped ensure the safety of actors and crew during underwater scenes while contributing to the authenticity of the films.
Not only has Bill Kendig enriched the lives of divers, but he has also been actively involved in environmental conservation efforts. He volunteered as a diver and videographer for Channel Islands National Park, entertaining and educating school children and park visitors about the importance of marine ecosystems.
Currently, Bill Kendig is employed by ULCS (Ultralight Camera Solutions) in Southern California.
