Atomic Aquatics Celebrates 10 Years of Innovation, Industry
Leadership
Manufacturers of world’s
first Titanium regulator continue to lead the way with
advanced product design and multiple “industry firsts”
Huntington Beach, CA – April 10, 2007 (DNW): It hardly
seems like 10 years ago that Atomic Aquatics forever changed
the scuba diving industry with the release of the T1 Titanium
regulator. But in the decade since, Atomic has unveiled
innovation after innovation that has left the competition
gasping for air.
In 1997, Atomic founders Dean Garraffa and Doug Toth startled
the scuba industry by introducing the T1 regulator. The
T1 immediately became the standard by which all scuba regulators
are judged. Such important features as the Automatic Flow
Control (AFC), the ‘seat-saving’ orifice and
lightweight Titanium parts made the Atomic regulator the
product every diver wanted to own.
That hasn’t changed. Today, Atomic Aquatics has a
complete line of high-performance regulators for divers
of all incomes and skill levels. The company’s passion
for innovation didn’t stop with regulators. Atomic
Aquatics’ SplitFins continue to win awards for performance
and quality, while the Atomic frameless and sub-frame masks
are selling out in dive stores from coast to coast.
According to Dean Garraffa, it’s not an accident
that after 10 years, Atomic Aquatics continues to lead
the industry. “Innovation isn’t something that
just happens. It’s something that we have cultivated
as a company. Each and every Atomic product is designed
to meet the highest performance standards. If we can’t
design a product to be the best in its category, then we
won’t build it.”
Garraffa said that Atomic Aquatics continues to develop
new products that will have the same affect on the industry
as the T1 ten years ago. As the company celebrates a decade
of innovation and leadership, Garraffa says there are even
more exciting innovations coming in the near future.
Two of the latest examples of Atomic innovations are the
new ARC (Anti-reflective Coating) sub-frame masks (introduced
in January). These masks are quickly selling out. The new “Smoke
on the Water” black SplitFin promises to keep divers
talking when it’s released later this month.
