Cobalt Guide: Dive Screen: Decompression Diving

Decompression is indicated when the no- deco time reaches zero and is replaced by Ascent Time.
Only the deepest stop (ceiling depth), which may be a blue Deep Stop, will be displayed. When it is completed the next required stop will appear.

Decompression stops are displayed within an orange frame.

Failure to complete a Decompression Stop will result in a Decompression Violation.

Ascent Time in the Decompression Diving screen is based on a direct ascent at 30 ft (10 m) per minute and completing all deep, decompression, and safety stops.

Any programmed gas switches are taken into account when Cobalt calculates decompression and ascent time. However, if you dismiss a gas switch alert dialog without making the switch, Cobalt will recalculate your decompression schedule based on the current gas mix.

For deep and exceptional exposures (decompression dives below 150'), you will not see deep or safety stops. The algorithm will incorporate them into the required deco stops, which must be observed.
